I am a Bible teacher, preacher, and story-informed spiritual formation guide.
With over 20 years of ministry experience, and through specialized training I've learned to create safe spaces where God's Word can penetrate not just our minds, but our hearts and stories.
I've had the privilege of preaching and teaching in various contexts—from local churches to conferences and ministry events. My teaching often focuses on the intersection of Scripture and story, helping people understand how their personal narratives connect with God's greater narrative of redemption.
Whether I'm expounding on a passage from the Psalms or unpacking the theological implications of the Gospel, my heart is always to help people encounter not just information about God, but transformation through God. I believe Scripture is powerful enough to meet us in our pain and gracious enough to lead us into freedom.
While my specialized ministry 'Intentionally Her' focuses specifically on women's spiritual formation, my biblical teaching serves the broader church community with the conviction that everyone, regardless of their background, education, or current circumstances, deserves access to solid biblical teaching that speaks to the whole person: mind, heart, and soul.
My Heart for the Church
I exist to cultivate spaces and moments where people feel seen, cared for and safe enough to come face to face with the most hidden parts of themselves, so that they can begin to move towards healing, freedom and joy in the presence of their Heavenly Father. Whether through conversation, teaching, writing, or mentoring, I use vulnerability, empathy and grace-filled truth-telling to cultivate an emotionally safe enough environment for people to get in touch with their souls, connect with their God and be released into their purpose for His glory.
This calling shapes everything I do in ministry. I believe every person—regardless of background, education, or current circumstances—deserves access to solid biblical teaching delivered in an environment where they feel truly safe to encounter God. Whether I'm preaching to a congregation of 50 or 500, teaching a women's retreat, or training ministry leaders, my goal is always transformation, not just information
My Teaching Foundation
Biblical Depth with Pastoral Heart
Biblically Grounded: I hold fast to the authority of Scripture while understanding how personal narratives can either enhance or block our ability to receive God's truth.
Pastorally Sensitive: Through specialized training with the Allender Center in Narrative Focused Trauma Care©, I've learned to teach in ways that create emotional safety for processing difficult truths.
Practically Applicable: I believe Scripture is powerful enough to meet us in our pain and gracious enough to lead us into freedom. Every message equips listeners to be "doers of the word, not just hearers."
Relationally Authentic: My teaching style is marked by vulnerability, helping people see themselves in biblical narratives and find hope in God's redemptive story.

Life Beyond the Pulpit
While ministry is my calling, my greatest joy is being a wife and mother in what we call "the Spencer household." My husband Brandan currently serves in the role of Director of Pastoral Engagement with Renovare Ministries. He perfectly balances my intensity with his kind-hearted optimism.
I also have three beautiful daughters; Jaeda 18, Jasmyn 16, and Caris 11. When I’m not working I am soaking up all the time I have with these babies! Yes they are still my babies!
I love to laugh and have fun. On days off you can catch me sitting in nature, relaxing in my favorite chair with a cup of hot coffee, or laughing at episodes of The Office. I think I’m pretty well rounded lol.
I was born and raised In San Diego, Ca. We just finished up a ten year journey pastoring in Los Angeles and currently reside in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
