Where Scripture Meets Your Story
Trauma-informed spiritual formation helping women rediscover God's love in the exact places their stories taught them not to trust it
The Heart Behind the Ministry
“You will never become a woman of purpose by accident. You have to do it intentionally.
I spent years walking with the Lord and yet still felt something was lacking. I had been teaching the Scripture since I was a teen. I lived a life that was consistently postured in God’s Word, serving His Church and discipling His daughters and I loved every second. Yet, in my early 30’s I hit a wall. I couldn’t put my finger on it, but I knew I wasn’t fully experiencing the freedom in Christ that He died to give me. I struggled to access the joy of the Lord, the peace that passes all understanding and, if I’m honest, even fully receiving His love for me was difficult in a way I didn’t have words for. After a series of situations that the Lord used to get my attention, I knew I needed healing.
I had no clue there were parts of my story that were preventing me from fully being able to love and feel loved by God. There was unhealed anger, pain and sadness that wasn’t going to be healed until I first became aware of them and then chose to be brave enough to allow the Lord to heal them. So, that’s what I did. I intentionally pursued healing. Years into my journey I realized I was not the only one who struggled in this way, but that women all throughout the Church dealt with the same pain points.
I created Intentionally Her becasue I wanted to create a ministry that focuse on ministering to the whole of God’s daughters and not just parts of them. Christian Author and Pastor, Pete Scazzero says, “There is no spiritual maturity without emotional maturity”. I truly believe that because I have experienced it to be true in my own life and witnessed it to be true in the lives of countless others. Learning how to holistically approach my faith has changed everything for me. It led me to experience the joy, peace and love of the Lord that felt beyond my reach. It freed me from the prison of shame and taught me how to see and love myself the way God sees and loves me. And now, through the ministry God has entrusted me with, I long to come alongside other women to help them experience the same transformation in Christ that changed my life. Because here is what we know to be true: The woman who God has called us to be—we will never become her by accident, so we have to do it intentionally. This ministry is all about the journey to intentionally becoming Her.

Who Are We
-
Intentionally Her exists to disciple women through trauma-informed spiritual formation. We teach women how to intentionally and meaningfully engage God's Word, their personal stories, and safe godly community in order to guide them into a greater level of emotional healing, deeper faith, and purposeful living for the glory of God.
-
A generation of women healed, whole, and formed by the love of God—living from truth, walking in freedom, and becoming who they were always meant to be.
-
We exist to help women rediscover the love of God in the exact places their stories taught them not to trust it.
-
We come together with one purpose:
To Disrupt, Dismantle, and Destroy the power of shame in the lives of God’s children.
We do this by encouraging, equipping and empowering God’s daughters to:
Reclaim their beauty, Re-name their story, and be Released into their purpose that they might Reveal God’s glory.
The Problem We Address
Most Christian women face a painful disconnect:
Surface-level Bible studies that don't address the impact of trauma on faith
Secular therapy that often leaves out God and spiritual formation
Traditional discipleship that skips emotional healing
Expensive healing programs that exclude women with limited resources
Communities and small groups not practicing the vulnerability and transparency that leads to true healing.
The Result: Women who love Jesus but struggle to trust Him in the places their stories have taught them to doubt. They know God's love intellectually but can't access it emotionally where their deepest wounds live.
Our Unique Approach:
Trauma-Informed Spiritual Formation
We bridge the gap between sound biblical theology and compassionate story care through:
Story + Scripture Integration
Using Narrative Focused Trauma Care© methodology to help women understand how their personal narratives intersect with God's character, and creating safe spaces where God's Word meets their deepest wounds.
The "Character of God" Approach
Starting with who God is (rather than focusing primarily on women's pain), exposing the lies our stories may have taught us about God's character, and inviting women to trust God so healing can unfold from deeper knowing.
Accessible Healing
Making soul-rooted, Spirit-led healing accessible to every woman through sliding scale pricing, scholarships, and through our commitment to believing no-one should be priced out of healing.
Our Three-Pillar Methodology
Pillar 1: Emotional Healing
“Healing the emotional wounds that block spiritual trust"
We recognize the deep pain and trauma that many women carry. Our ministry is committed to healing the daughters and, in turn, healing the generations. We provide trauma-informed and Spirit-filled resources to help women navigate their emotional healing journey safely.
Pillar 2: Spiritual Growth
"Developing authentic intimacy with God through story engagement"
We go beyond simply teaching Scripture and minister to the whole woman. We provide practical tools and guidance to help women apply God's Word to their lives and experience transformation through engaging Scripture and Spiritual practices intentionally.
Pillar 3: Purposeful Living
"Discovering and walking in God-given identity and calling"
We empower women to unearth and flourish in their God-given purpose. Our approach involves practical teachings, identifying barriers, and instilling the courage needed to progress confidently in their identity and calling.

Our Identity & Community Values
We are women who practice confession.
We say the hard, the hurting and the honest, because we believe that is where healing begins.
We are women who are curious and not critical.
We ask questions quicker than we make judgments—and we leave room for truth to gracefully emerge.
We are women who practice compassion and not condemnation.
We speak the Father's heart over each other more than we do our opinions, because we believe that God does not surface things to shame us, but to heal us.
We are women of communion and not isolation.
We believe we are being spiritually formed for the good of each other and for sweet fellowship with our Father. And we live lives committed to investing in both of them.

A little back story & an answered prayer
Seven years ago, while preparing a sermon for a retreat, I experienced a unique stirring from the Lord. The message, centered on God's desire to heal His daughters' hidden pain, created an overwhelming response in the room as I preached it. Women began sobbing during the introduction of my sermon and were worshiping and weeping before the Lord by the conclusion.
God led me to teach that message at every speaking engagement that year, and the same powerful response happened in every room. I had no idea what the Lord was fully doing at that time, except that He was, for sure, giving me a glimpse into the depth of pain carried by women in the church and His heart to bring healing to His daughters.
I preached that message one final time that year and once I was finished a woman approached me with tears in her eyes. She said, "Tiana, we need a part two. What do we do now that the pain has surfaced? How do we heal it? We need a part two.” I remember being unsure of how to respond to her request but offered prayer and steered her toward therapy. Shortly after that I began my own intensive healing journey, diving deep into trauma work in partnership with the Holy Spirit. My life was never the same again. Years into my own process, I sensed the Lord telling me, “Tiana, this is part two!”
Intentionally Her was born out of my own journey and my deep desire to help women bridge the gap between who their story has told them they are and who God created them to be. Part two is about not just recognizing our brokenness, but also about breaking free from our shame, embracing the wonder of His love and uncovering the beauty of who we already are.
